Frederick Radohl

January 19, 1925 — February 17, 2006

Fred was born January 19, 1925, at Blue Earth Mn., the son of Elba W. and Martha H. (Manske) Radohl.Fred was raised and educate in Radcliffe, Iowa where he was a 1942 graduate of Radcliffe High School. He graduated from Welding trade school in Lakeview, Iowa and was a welder for a short time before entering the U.S. Navy during WW II. He was a Gunner''s Mate Second Class in the Navy before returing home in 1946 where he worked on a farm near Radcliffe. In 1949 the family moved to Blue Earth, MN where Fred worked as a Millwright for N.W. McFarland for 13 years before starting to work at Green Giant Company in 1965. Fred retired from Green Griant in 1987 and began wintering in San Juan, Texas for the next 18 years. He was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church in Blue Earth and the American Legion Post #89 and the VFW Post # 4580. Fred enjoyed gardening and woodworking.He is survived by his sister, Maxine Rummel of Blue Earth, brother, Don (& wife Elaine) Radohl of Blue Earth, niece, Joyce Ann (& husband Leonard) James of Bremerton, Washington, niece, Mary (& husband James) Gette of Houston, Texas, two great nieces: Rebekah (& husband Rob) George & Rachel James, three great nephews: Michael (& wife Laura) Gette, Mark Gette & fiancee Debbie Bond & Daniel (& wife Amy) James, four great great nieces and one great great nephew, many cousins and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents.
