Emma Hilpipre

October 22, 1906 — March 8, 2005

She was born October 22, 1906, at Seneca, Iowa, the daughter of William F. and Lilla M. (Pooch) Mosier.She was raised and educated in Northern Iowa and attended Grant Consolidated Schools. She was married to Henry C. Hilpipre February 25, 1925 in Swea City, Iowa. The couple lived most of their married life in the Pilot Grove & Elmore areas where they farmed. They moved to Elmore in 1948 where Emma was a longtime member of the Elmore United Methodist Church and was very active in the United Methodist Women, serving as President. Emma and Henry were active at the Elmore Senior Citizens Center where she served as President. They moved to Southview Estates in 1997 and Henry died in 2000. Over the years Emma had many hobbies and collections. She has been a resident of St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center since December 2003.She is survived by her son, Donald (& wife Karen) Hilpipre of Omaha, son, Harold (& wife Jean) Hilpipre of Elmore, daughter, Phyllis (& husband Roy) Rohlin of Okoboji, Iowa, son, Raymond (& wife Lorraine) Hilpipre of Eatondon, Georgia, daughter, JoAnn Smith of Minneapolis, daughter, Barbara (& Lester) Wood of Blaine, brother, Ello (& wife Angie) Mosier of Ellendale, sister, Lucy Spencer of Bovey, sister-in-law, Luella Nutt of Fairmont, 21 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. Emma was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2000, 4 sisters and a daughter-in-law.
