Dorothy Arends

She was born November 14, 1915, in Blue Earth, the daughter of John & Sophie (Olsen) Kliendl.Dorothy was raised and educated in Blue Earth and was a 1933 Graduate of Blue Earth High School. She was married to Lester R. Arends on April 25, 1937 in Bricelyn. She was a clerk at the Arends Sale Yard for a time but was a longtime homemaker, raising eight children. Dorothy was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in Trinity Ladies Aide Circle. She had been a resident of St. Luke''s Lutheran Care Center for several years and enjoyed playing in the St. Lukes Bell Choir.Dorothy is survived by her son: Mike (& wife Lorraine) Arends of Blue Earth, daughter, Kayla (& husband Bruce) Lawrence of Delavan, daughter, Marvis Schipper & special friend Chris Mueller of Crystal Lake, Illinois, daughter, Mavis (& husband Dick) Holmseth of Blue Earth, son, John (& wife Candace) Arends of Blue Earth, daughter, Deb (& husband Barry) Ehrich of Blue Earth, son, Steven Arends and special friend Lou Ann Swenson of Winnebago, son-in-law, Daryl Amundson of Blue Earth, sister, Helen Nelson of Albert Lea, sister, Deloris Hillmer of Fairmont, 23 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband-Lester, daughter-Susie Amundson, son-in-law-Doug Schipper, an infant son, a granddaughter- Jaclyn Lawrence, grandson-Paul Ehrich, brothers, Darwin & Harold Kliendl and sisters, Elaine Classon and Rosella Murtha..
