Cherry Davis

She was born July 13, 1953, at Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Shorty Davis and Betty Jean Bryant.She was raised and educated in Des Moine, Iowa where she graduated from high school and then attended the University of Iowa in Iowa City. She lived in Iowa City, Tipton and later Jefferson, Iowa before coming to Blue Earth, MN in 1979. She was a social worker in Iowa and in Blue Earth for many years. Most recently she was the director of Social Services. Cherry was well known for her strong sense of family and was an outspoken advocate of people''s rights, especially childrens'' rights.Cherry is survived by her son, Jesse Fuchs of Blue Earth, daughter, Bethany Fuchs ofBlue Earth, son, Daniel Fuchs of Blue Earth, daughter, Kyana Fuchs of Blue Earth, brother, Terry Davis of DesMoines, sister, Cheryl Davis of Altoona, Iowa, sister, Sandra Pearson of DesMoines, brother, Bob Davis of Chicago, brother, Donnie Davis of Oklahoma, She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Merrilee Davis & Florence May Breeze and brother, Ralph Davis.
