Karen K. Martin

Karen was born December 11, 1943, in Blue Earth, the daughter of Elmer & Ruby (Frey) Jans.She graduated from Naeve School of Nursing in 1964 and served as a Registered Nurse fulltime until 1970, when she slowed down to raise her family. She continued to maintain her license until present day and worked periodically. She was married to Garry E. Martin on December 11, 1966. They were married for 39 years, raised two children and farmed in rural Blue Earth.She is survived by her husband, Garry Martin of Blue Earth, son, Dustin Martin & special friend Norma Overbaugh of Blue Earth, daughter, Tina (& husband Reed) Allis of Easton, grandson, William Allis of Easton, close family friend, Travis Stallkamp of Pella, Iowa, father, Elmer Jans, Murrayville, Georgia (formerly of Blue Earth), brother, Bob (& wife Donna) Jans of Murrayville, Georgia, Mother& Father-in-law: Elmer & Eva Martin of Blue Earth, sister-in-law, Jean (& husband Arlen) Prescher of Albert Lea, sister-in-law, Sharon (& husband Ed) Hannaman of Blue Earth, sister-in-law, Gayle (& husband Dave) Classon of Blue Earth, and several nieces & nephews.She was preceded in death by her mother- Ruby Jans.
