Pauline Johnson

Pauline was born May 11, 1923, at Story County, Iowa, the daughter of Peter and Anna (Christiansen) Olson.Pauline was raised and educated in the Huntley area where she was a 1941 graduate of Huntley High School. She attended Mankato Business College and worked at Spor''s Department Store in Le Center and later at Huntley State Bank before she was married to Cleighton R. Johnson on September 15, 1945 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blue Earth. The couple farmed at Verona Township until 1957 when they moved to a farm in Blue Earth Township, where they remained until moving to Blue Earth in 2002. Pauline was a homemaker and a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in Ladies Aide for more than 50 years and taught Sunday School for many years. She was an excellent cook, seamstress and loved to tend her many flower gardens through the years.She is survived by her husband, Cleighton Johnson of Blue Earth, son, Gregory (Maggie) Johnson of Blue Earth, daughter, Paula (John) Barseth of Rochester, grandson, Jay (Jennifer) Johnson of Blue Earth, great grandsons, Caleb & Ethan Johnson, sister, Mildred Pirsig of Wilmar, brother, Sherman Olson of Clear Lake, Mn, sister, Ruth Adams of LeSueur, sister, Martha Winslow of Sanford, Florida, sister, Dorothy Benjamin of Redondo Beach, California, brother, John Olson of Brainerd, sister, Beverly Schultze of Lakefield, step-sister, Marjorie Teig of Brainerd and step-brother, Kenneth Olson of Texas.Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, infant son- Paul, brother- Amos Olson, step-mother, Pearl Olson, step-brother, Alfred Olson and step-sister, Lucille Sweet.
