Therese Theodore

Therese Louise Mathews Theodore was born June 24, 1907 in Elmore Township, Faribault Co., Minnesota to Ernst and Ann (Krinke) Mathews. She was baptized on July 8, 1907 and confirmed on April 21, 1921 at St. John?s Lutheran Church, Elmore Township. She attended District 18 school and St. John?s parochial school.She lived and worked on the Mathew?s family farm for 30 years. In 1937 she spent 6 months working in Seattle, Washington. She also worked at a Chicago hospital and Swedish and Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, St. Paul. She was also employed at Glacier National Park, Montana and did hotel work in Palm Beach, Florida and California.She married Anton Dorn on March 25, 1951 and the couple resided in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Mr. Dorn died on March 3, 1964. On December 15, 1965 she married Peter Theodore. They resided in Rapid City, South Dakota and Mesa, Arizona. Mr. Theodore died on November 7, 1981.Therese is survived by her nephew, Donnis Mathews, nephew, Lennis ( & wife Diane) Mathews, niece, Luella ( & husband Duane) Hermanson, nephew, Arno ( & wife Laurel) Mathews, niece, Eleanor Schlaak and several great nieces & nephews, great great nieces & nephews and great-great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, sister, Elsie Schalk and brothers: Walter & Leo Mathews and a niece, Erna Tesch.
