Karl Weise

Karl was born July 3, 1910, at Almena, Wisconsin, the son of William F. and Wanda A. (Schimmel) Weise.He was raised and educated in Almena, Wisconsin and came to the Blue Earth area in 1926. He worked on area farms and later owned his own farm in Faribault Co. for many years. He was married to Edna A. Martin on August 25, 1937 at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Emerald Township. In the mid 1960''s he began working for Stokely-VanKamps factory where he continued to work until semi-retiring in the mid 1970''s. He was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Emerald Township where he was active in many areas, including as a cemetery board member. He enjoyed fishing, story telling and joke telling with his grandchildren, and was regular at the Monday card club in Winnebago and Wednesday card club in Delavan.Karl is survived by his son, Dwight Weise of Blue Earth, daughter, Deanne(& husband Lloyd) Wallace of Delavan, son, Robert (& wife Peggy) Weise of Nevis, daughter, Faye (& husband Keith) Peterson of Winnebago, daughter, Donna (& husband Robert) Jans of Murrayville, Georgia, daughter, Carol Smith of Walker, 25 grandchildren & 39 great grandchildren. Also surviving are a former son-in-law, Sam Smith of Walker and former daughter-in-law, LaFaye Weise of Blue Earth.He was preceded in death by his wife- Edna in 2000, all his brothers & sisters, two grandchildren and a daughter-in-law.
